Terms and participation expectations

Use the MDA website as an education, trust, and participation entry point.

These plain-language terms summarize important boundaries for using the MDA website and participating in Alliance programs.

Important boundaries

MDA is not a medical provider.

The website does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment recommendations, or emergency support.

Eligible MDA programs can include paid patient participation, but participation does not guarantee access to research, studies, trials, treatments, payments, or other benefits.

Contribution credits are activity records that may support payment eligibility review; they are not cash, equity, tokens, dividends, or guaranteed payments.

Patient Success Distributions and Researcher Value awards may occur only if qualifying value exists, eligibility is satisfied, and governing rules approve them.

Participation conduct

Trust depends on careful use.

Submit accurate information

Use forms honestly and avoid submitting another person's information without permission.

Respect privacy

Do not share another patient's story, records, diagnosis, or contact information without consent.

No urgent care

Do not use MDA forms for emergencies, urgent medical questions, or time-sensitive clinical decisions.

Review specific opportunities

Research participation is reviewed opportunity by opportunity through the appropriate consent process.
